Really quick, I wanted to tell you about a software tool that is quickly becoming my favorite. What you may not know is that I am always looking for ways to improve how to stay on top of projects. With the help of Rivers and Associates, we have been testing out Teamwork Project Manager cloud based project management tool. No, they are not paying me to toot their horn, heck, they probably don't even know we were evaluating it.
Getting started is simple. There are some paid plans the you may want to consider (we are) but to get going is a nicely featured free version. Once you get passed the long, slightly complex site address you are greeted with useful dashboards and navigation that only take a few minutes to get used and you are off and running.
Adding team members, projects, milestones and tasks is pretty easy even from my smartphone or tablet. All of that is great but the feature I like most is the email received Monday thru Friday of my open items. It helps to keep me on track. During the quick setup I was able to add easily base company information, logo and team members. If/when milestones need to change it also prompts for adjusting others. Logging time, sending status, creating estimates, and the list goes on with the features. You might think with all of that it is overwhelming, not-so-much.
