What a ride! After a year of planning (and re-planning), JoomlaDay Chicago 2020 is a week away on October 17th. This year's event is an online summit (you know already know why so I won't go over it) which is good and bad. The obvious bad part is that we will not be able to have our Sip'n Social event to just hang out with each other. Last year's Sip'n Social was so much fun, getting to know the other Joomlers. Yes, I know we could virtually, but it is not the same.
However, the GOOD part is that we have speakers that we may not have had otherwise broadcasting from far away. Also, we have the ability, for a nominal fee of $20, to provide replays of the sessions. If you aren't interested in replays you can attend all live sessions for free.
For those new to Joomla and looking to learn more of the basics, there is a Beginner's Workshop that runs all day on Friday, October 16th. For $50, you will learn Joomla Basics plus have access to all of the Live and Replay sessions for JoomlaDay itself.
With COVID-19 restrictions (sorry had to mention it here) the Joomla Certification Exam is limited to 4 participants. This will enable proper distancing within the Danico office. All exam takers are REQUIRED to wear masks. Please do not come if you or someone close to you has been or are ill. For more information and to register, go to https://joomladaychicago.com/certification-exam.
While this year will look different and be different, it is shaping up to be a great event with fantastic talks. For this event, we are using HeySummit coupled with Zoom Webinar. It is our first time using these services and so far the experience has been good.
It is not too late to sign-up and select your talks, just head over to summit.joomladaychicago.com and Book Your Place. Use coupon code: giCqgmwA to receive 25% off Premium access which gives you all of the live sessions plus access to replays for a week after.
